HIGH QUALITY, LONG-LASTING CISTERN PUMP

Our Franklin 10GPM cistern pump provides high performance and long life for rainwater harvesting applications. Not to be confused with the C1 20GPM models (which are designed for septic tanks), the C1 10GPM is the only C1 model designed for residential primary water supply delivery. The C1 Series pump is able to pass solids up to 1/8" without having a negative effect on the internal hydraulic components.

The pump’s unique bottom suction design allows for maximum fluid drawdown without compromising durability or overall life, and it does not require the use of a flow induction sleeve. In other words, no pump casing is needed -- just drop the pump in the cistern, and you're ready to go.

When to use this pump

This pump is the best choice for household supply, houses running on solar power with inverters (we recommend using as big of a pressure tank as you can afford with this pump for maximum efficiency ), or when powering drip irrigation. Note: A pressure tank and an external pressure switch must be used with this pump. We recommend 20-gallon capacity for most applications. If you do not have room for a large pressure tank, then our Springer Series Automatic may be a better option.

FEATURES:

  • Bottom suction design, with the ability to easily add our floating intake sleeve to improve water quality
  • Robust thermoplastic discharge head design resists breakage during installation and operation.
  • Single shell housing design provides a compact unit while ensuring cool and quiet operation.
  • Hydraulic components molded from high quality engineered thermoplastics.
  • Optimized hydraulic design allows for increased performance and decreased power usage.
  • All metal components are made of high grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
  • Available with a high quality 115 V, ½ hp motor
  • Fluid flows of 10 gpm, with a max shut-off pressure of over 100 psi.
  • Heavy duty 600 V 10 foot SJOOW jacketed lead.
  • UL 778 listed
  • AMP DRAW: 10.2 Amps Max Draw @ 115V, 5.1 Amps Max Draw @ 230V

YOU MAY ALSO NEED:

  • Pump wire splice kit
  • Pump control/tank tee kit
  • Pressure tank (20-gallon capacity is suitable for the majority of applications. Solar powered systems run more efficiently with larger pressure tanks)
  • Pitless adapter (used to remove the pump from underground cisterns without having to get inside the tank)
  • Floating intake sleeve (used to draw water from toward the top of the cistern where water is cleaner since sedimentation collects at the bottom of the cistern)
  • Normally-Open float switch (turns off pump if water level gets too low -- if you order this with the pump, we will pre-wire it to the pump at no additional charge)

As always, please feel free to call or email us with installation questions – we're happy to help!
