Normally Closed Float Switch 120/230V — High-Level Pump Control
Introducing the Altra Pump Switch by Alderon Industries. Made in the USA.
A "Normally Closed" float switch is on (circuit closed) when the float is in the down position, and off (circuit open) when the float is in the upward position. This makes it ideal for situations where you want a secondary water source to fill a cistern or reservoir tank — for example, if you have a low-yielding well and want to pump water into a reservoir, this switch tells the well pump to turn on when the reservoir is low and turn off when it’s full.
A Normally Closed switch can also be used to signal an alarm or indicator light when the cistern is low. Alternatively, our Low-Level Audible Tank Alarm includes its own Normally Closed switch.
Our Normally Closed 120/230V Float Switch is a 13-amp rated pump-duty switch with heavy-duty contacts for maximum pump starting loads.
