SHIPPING & RETURNS

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.


Return of special order items (i.e., items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer, such as our concrete and plastic tanks) are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Any concrete tanks that are job-specific when cast (i.e., traffic bearing, special fitting placement, etc.) may not be returned.


Shipping

When you place an order, we estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. We strive to ship your orders within one business day of ordering. 


We offer shipping/freight of most of our products (our concrete cisterns are the exception) to anywhere in the continental United States and Canada. However, we are committed to our local economy and to your local economy above all. That said, instead of shipping our products to folks in the Yellow Springs area, we deliver them ourselves -- we want face-to-face contact with our customers, and we can cut your freight costs down by doing so. Just contact us, and we'll be glad to help! 


Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

For tank orders, please call us for a more accurate shipping quote.


For larger orders (i.e., large tanks or palletized shipments), shipment comes via freight (i.e., semi or box truck). For those shipments, coordination can sometimes be difficult, especially for remote locations. Buyer must be prepared to receive large shipments/trucks. If access for freight shipments is not possible, buyer is responsible for finding nearest drop-off point for truck, and for moving items from drop off point to their own site.


When ordering products through our online store, we will provide you with tracking information via the carrier of your choice upon shipment. Once the products are shipped, they are the responsibility of the carrier, and any issues resulting from shipping are the responsibility of the carrier -- not us. While we are happy to assist in resolving any carrier issues, we are not responsible for packages that are lost or incorrectly delivered if the shipping address in the system is correct and matches the shipping address on the label and on the tracking page.


Fixed Shipping


Fixed shipping applies only to orders within the contiguous United States. If you are outside of the US and place an order for an item that has fixed shipping, we will contact you with an updated shipping cost.
